Pakistan Financial Condition during PMLN 2013-18 Tenure

After almost 4+ years of PMLN Govt.

• Pakistan steel Mill is still in LOSS -accumulated losses of the mill swelled to Rs166 billion and total liabilities to Rs173bn in 2015-16 from Rs26.50bn and Rs35bn, respectively, in 2008-09.
• PIA in MORE loss despite low fuel prices, new management, new services - total 103 billion loss in the tenure of PML-N government.
• Railway is in same financial loss -The total deficit for PR for 2015-16 amounted to around Rs28.3 billion
• Trade deficit of Pakistan increased by 40% Worst in history.
• Exports have decreased by 12%,
• Foreign remittance dropper 20% in 2016, another 10% in 2017.
• Foreign Direct Investment decreased 45% in one quarter in 2016.
• Circular debt is far more than 2012 despite over billing, tarrif increase and in spite of a substantial decline of around 50pc in global oil prices over the last three years.
• Pakistan in worst debt in history. Reaching an all time high of 74638 USD Million in the third quarter of 2016.

• There is not even a single institution / departement / industry where they can say - THIS WAS IN LOSS - NOW IT IS NOT.

Financial conditions of Pakistan are getting worse every year and the only reason we dont get to hear it a lot is our mode of information is MEDIA- and media only shows what are paid to or to blackmail to get paid.

When I came to serve my country in 1999 as an Advisor, then it was everywhere in the news around the world that since there is a Martial Law Governing the country, and since without Democracy, Pakistan will be rejected by IMF, by United States, by Europe, and by all lending agencies and we would DEFINITELY collapse this time…..

Well, since I was in my early teenage years till now, three decades later. Let me tell you who has collapsed.

The second biggest power in the world, the Soviet Union, collapsed.
Argentinian economy collapsed.
Greece collapsed.
Portugal collapsed.
EU is at the brink of a collapse.
America with a $19 trillion dollar debt is worse than collapsed.
Iraq with billions of oil revenues collapsed.
Libya with trillions in oil reserves collapsed.
Venezuelan government toppled and the old system collapsed.
Syria collapsed.
The currency Euro is about to collapse.
The most loved commodity, Oil, since 1986 collapsed 3 times.
Zimbabwe collapsed economically.
Congo collapsed even with its diamond reserves.
Liberia collapsed because of its leaders.
Yemen collapsed because of its internal rift.

Israel, the favourite of America has fallen off its favourite list, indicating an imminent collapse….
So all the idiots who are waiting for Pakistan to collapse since the past 30 years, wait till the doomsday.

We are not going to collapse. We had economic hardships, terrorism, external intervention, enemy neighbours, and international opposition..yet we have grown.We beat terrorism, we are growing economically. Our GDP has grown in the past 30 years, our per capita income has grown, our standard of living compared to the past 30 years has grown, we are a nuclear state, we now have CPEC, we have talent and we have resilience and we have tenacity. And most of all, we have Allah on our side.

So to all those who have tirelessly waited for 30 some odd years, let me give you a piece of advice, may you be within or outside Pakistan, you will come, you will go, your children and grandchildren will come and they will go… but Pakistan is here to stay. Pakistan is here to grow. Pakistan is here to become better.

Pakistan is here because Pakistanis DO NOT GIVE UP…

Films in Pakistan

Pakistan always claims itself to be A COUNTRY OF GREAT POTENTIALS. From natural resources to brilliant minds, Pakistan has always proved the claim right. But issue rises when the resources and potentials are not used or not given their deserved value.

Coal can produce Power, Pakistan has got Coal Mines- That’s potential.. Pakistan is not making Power out of coal is the issue.

Same is with our potential in field of FILM INDUSTRY. Pakistan is equipped with millions of talented artists and almost all of them are trying to pass through the tiny hole where they can explore their talent and start their career in desired profession.

 Downfall of Pakistan film industry is considered to start when in an industry which was supposed to represent the NATION started focusing just one language and one region of one province. As a result violence-ridden Punjabi films prevailed and overshadowed the Urdu cinema.

That lead to division of Cinema into Punjabi industry and Pushto industry- Both popular among their people but no work was done on quality due to limited budget, so did the audience Limited and mostly illiterate to attend the cinema. And then for cinema’s too- limited and of low quality -.

Industry is known by the name of LOLLYWOOD considering LAHORE the media hub. In this hub they had 67 cinema houses 10 years back and the numbers are reduced to 55 now and out of these 55 not all are operational.

Upcoming talent including film makers, actors, musicians and finances are hoping to take the industry to higher level. Some consider a total change with all new professionals holding degree must replace all those who were part of dark ages.

Where some young filmmakers oppose it stating "I don't think so. Because these actors are experienced just need to polish them. The presenter has actually no sense to present them. So the basic error began from filmmakers"

After a revolution in Drama industry Pakistan is expecting a revolution in film industry with the help of those getting degrees in media studies and those experienced - This needs nothing but determination of young talent and some transparency to help the real talent get into the world of fame.
